Welcome to the mentors of SWU ’13!

Mentors are a feature of Startup Weekend that nobody could live without. Taking the leap to start a business can be a very exiting but sometimes confusing process – that’s why we’ve brought together a team of people who have already navigated that process (sometimes a few times already) and have survived to tell the tale.

Learning how to earn the support of customers and investors can indeed be tricky. Finding the right ways to test your ideas and identify your assumptions is never easy. Even well-seasoned entrepreneurs go to peers and colleagues for advice about the decisions they’re planning to make next. Through the iterative cycles of pitching, pivoting and producing its very wise to collect second and third opinions about the steps you’re taking towards success.

Getting a consultation about your startup is not only important to building a strong foundation but for keeping the intensity high with which you and your team are working out ideas. Throughout the days we spend together in Hoog Catharijne, it will be normal if you feel outside of your comfort zone. In fact, that’s the whole idea behind Startup Weekend Utrecht – breaking out of that daily rhythm and challenging yourself in new ways.

The group of mentors will be available on various days throughout the weekend. In the spirit of open source entrepreneurship, they will be sharing valuable information as well as tips and tricks that will help you to make decisions and learn a lot. The team we recruited has a wealth of experience in a variety of fields, which also gives you a great opportunity to do some networking.

Check out our all-star team and start keeping up with them on Twitter or LinkedIn.
